Hello Spartans!

My name is Whitney Cwieka and I am the Middle School English Language Arts teacher at San Gabriel Mission Elementary. This is my first year teaching with SGMES and I am eager to be a member of this lovely community!

I was born in Orange County, California and attended Arizona State University for my undergraduate degree in English Education. I received my teaching credential in 2020. I currently attend Cal State Fullerton where I am pursuing my master’s degree in  Secondary Education. 

I am passionate about creating a learning environment in which students can learn and thrive. I love language and literature and plan to incorporate creative writing projects that allow students to express themselves in their classroom communities.
